Gimbalgod Portfolio & Masterclass Website

Website design on Webflow. Interactive video and animations.

Year 2025
Industry Snowboarding Videography
My Role Lead UI Designer & Webflow Developer

The Team

I owned the UX/UI from concept to launch. My responsibilities spanned wireframing, creating high-fidelity mockups in Figma, and executing the full build in Webflow while collaborating with client and partners.

The Task

GIMBALGOD, a well-known snowboarding/action videographer, partnered with our team at YOSH Creative Studio to create a bold, cinematic website that showcases his extensive video archive and promotes his GoPro Masterclass. With rare creative freedom from the client, we set out to build an experience as dynamic as his work.

Goals

Questions We Solved Through Design

How do you present hundreds of videos without overwhelming the user?
Solution: design an interactive experience that is fun to navigate and interact with.

How do you appeal to both corporate clients and aspiring videographers with the same experience?

And most importantly, how do you make it fun, fast, and memorable?
Custom coded animations that keep the user's attention and interest throughout the site.

Design Execution

We developed a structure that carefully balanced vibe and usability:

Outcome

The result is a streamlined, immersive digital experience that elevates the GIMBALGOD brand and makes both content exploration and Masterclass enrollment effortless. The site sets a strong foundation for future iterations and continued creative growth.

16k page views and already $21,500 in sales and growing. Since the work wowed the client, YOSH is already scoped for more updates in round 2: adding another product — Color Pack.

Reflection

This project was a creative playground. Working in a tight-knit team of passionate creators allowed for seamless communication and bold design decisions. From the first sketch to the final hover effect, every detail was considered. It's my favorite project to date—and a reminder that great design happens when trust meets vision.

Our design work had a semi-viral moment on social media where we shared our work with our 500+ connections on LinkedIn. It went way beyond those connections and tracked 23,616 impressions (outperforming a base 10,000 for viral post in smaller connection groups).
