Deeper Creative Thoughts & Meaning
Alex mentioned that he tends to use blues and purples, which made him want to move away from those colors. I admired his way of thinking and desire for internal growth. So, I decided to incorporate the blues and purples and reveal the 'new colors' inside of him (pink and orange) to bring his personality through the cover.
I wanted the design to feel in line with his music style and match the vibe of the single he'd be releasing, called 'BLIPS'; it's glitchy, digital, deep, and unique. In the design, I noted this with the blur from the two selves (which resembles his soul) and the typographic design in the background.
I explored other cover options (seen below), but the one that truly resonated with Alex when I showed him the options was the dual souls. The design thinking behind it aligned with the music and graphic style he wanted to portray. He loved it.
